WHAT THE NUMBERS SHOW

A bigger market with more careful buying

U.S. pet industry sales grew in 2025 and are projected to rise again in 2026. At the same time, APPA reports that more owners are looking closely at value, with spending shifting toward the products and care that matter most to their daily routines.

Dog households grew to 71 million, and cat households reached 53 million. That gives practical pet products a large and expanding audience, especially when they solve an everyday need clearly and earn their place in the budget.
